Last Dance
With the use of only one color on the canvas this dancer was painted. She is the Last Dance, she pictures The dance. Another expressively commanding painting by Lavida. This powerful painting Last Dance is one of Lavida's finest. Not all of us have enjoyed the captivating pleasures of actually observing the delicate nature of dance, here it is.

Last Dance by ~LavidaLivon captures the very essence of a well-honed artform - its subtle nature, fragile yet at once commanding. Robust, uninhibited control of stark contrasts combined with a surprisingly realistic representation of muted fabrics and womanly contours, makes this the epitome of poignancy and eloquence. How did you get the effect of the silky tutu on the canvas like that...?

Thank you for liking this peice of art work, it was done only using black oil. The white is the canvas and I used a soft brush. I brought the black in toward the figure doing it by feeling mostly. I love this work myself. The girl that modeled was a neighbor, she was lovely and I agree with you that this is one that prefer as well. Thanks so much, I am going to see your work.

Thank you for that, Last Dance is done with black oil paint, nothing else. The white that you see is the canvas. I worked inward toward the figure using only black oils, and a very soft brush. Thanks again for liking it. I like it too, the girl was a neighbor of mine and she truly was a beautiful girl and talented as you can see.

Stunning piece of work. You not only achieved feeling in the piece but you can also feel the dance movement.
